General Info about .xxx domain names
- All letters "a" to "z" without distinguishing between uppercase and lowercase are accepted;
- All numbers from "0" to "9" are allowed;
- Hyphens (-) are allowed but not at the begin or end in your domain name and you can't put 2 consecutives hyphens (--);
- The minimum length of the domain name is 3 characters extension (.xxx) excluded;
- The maximum length of the domain name is 63 characters extension (.xxx) excluded;

Restrictions for domains .xxx
The Go Live or General Availability phase begins on December 6, 2011.
During this period, anyone can request the registration of a domain .XXX according to the principle "first come first served".
Domain names registered by those who have nothing to do with the adult entertainment world, can not be used .
Recover the Authorization Code from the current Provider (EPP key);
- No paper documentation is requested;
- The domain must be registered / renewed / transferred for at least 60 days;
- The domain must not be blocked by the current Registrar, otherwise request the release;
- The administrative contact's e-mail address must be active and reachable;
- Transfer times: up to 5 days from the start of the procedure;
- It is advisable to request the transfer of the domain at least 15 days before the expiry date.
PROCEDURE: during the transfer order, the Authorization Code (EPP key) is requested.
Once the procedure has been initiated by us, at the address of the administrative contact, you will receive an e-mail to which the transfer must be confirmed

Starting from January 15, 2014, in the following cases, checks will be carried out on the header data by the respective Authorities:
- registration of a domain by a new user;
- transfer of a domain;
- change of the Registrant's data during the maintenance period.
Upon successful registration / transfer an email will be sent from Ormag (in English with the subject &RAA verification mail") to the Registrant address where confirmation of the header data is requested by clicking on a link, thus allowing the completion of the occurs.
You must confirm the email within 15 days of receipt (if not confirmed, the same email will be sent after 7 and 14 days).
If the Registrant does not complete the control within the foreseen times, the domain will be deactivated with the change of the nameservers and will be re-directed to a page explaining the reason for deactivation by inviting the Registrant to contact their Provider to complete the verification of the data.
If the Registrant already has a domain and the header data is always the same, the verification email will not be sent.
CAUTION: none of our contracts provide for automatic (silent) service renewal. About two months before the deadline you will be contacted by Ormag via email to decide whether or not to renew the services provided by us
