General Info about .es domain names (Spain)
- All letters "a" to "z" without distinguishing between uppercase and lowercase are accepted;
- All numbers from "0" to "9" are allowed;
- Hyphens (-) are allowed but not at the begin or end in your domain name and you can't put 2 consecutives hyphens (--);
- The minimum length of the domain name is 3 characters extension (.es) excluded;
- The maximum length of the domain name is 63 characters extension (.es) excluded;

Redirect Url Free domains .es
Visitors who will digitize the domain name will be redirected to another web space / URL.
URL redirects are of two types:
1. Forwarding URLs : Redirects the domain name to another web address; in the address bar will read; the destination address.
2. Alias : Point the domain name to a hosting plan already purchased on ormag.net; the address bar will continue to read the domain name

Maximum annual number for domains .es
The .es domains can be registered from a minimum of one year. Of course, domain is renewable.
Maximum number of .es domains adjustable
For .es domains there are no limitations.
.es domain names NS configuration
It is not necessary to pre-set the NameServer.
In the event that they are not provided at the time of registration, the default nameservers of Ormag will be inserted, the nameserver change can also take place later.
- Minimum number of nameservers 2, maximum number of nameservers 13.
Local presence for domains .es
Local presence is not required.
Restrictions for domains .es
For .es domains there are no particular restrictions, they can be registered by both companies and individuals.
- No paper documentation is requested;
- The domain must be registered / renewed / transferred for at least 60 days;
- The domain must not be blocked by the current Registrar, otherwise request the release;
- The administrative contact's e-mail address must be active and reachable;
- Transfer times: up to 5 days from the start of the procedure;
- It is advisable to request the transfer of the domain at least 15 days before the expiry date.
PROCEDURE: Once the transfer procedure has been initiated, you will receive an e-mail to the administrative contact address by Nic.es with the username and password of the administrative contact to access the Nic.es system and validate the transfer.
On the day of expiration, the .es domains are withdrawn by the competent Authority requesting payment of a penalty for recovery (Restore). For more information about the restoring of the .es domains please contact us
CAUTION: none of our contracts provide for automatic (silent) service renewal. About two months before the deadline you will be contacted by Ormag via email to decide whether or not to renew the services provided by us
NOTE: .ES domains can be renewed within 9 days from the expiration date, after which they will be made available for new registrations.
