- All letters "a" to "z" without distinguishing between uppercase and lowercase are accepted;
- All numbers from "0" to "9" are allowed;
- Hyphens (-) are allowed but not at the begin or end in your domain name and you can't put 2 consecutives hyphens (--);
- The minimum length of the domain name is 3 characters extension (.ch) excluded;
- The maximum length of the domain name is 63 characters extension (.ch) excluded;

Full control to manage the DNS records of the associated domains. DNS servers are globally distributed with a highly redundant structure.

Redirect Url Free domains .ch
Visitors who will digitize the domain name will be redirected to another web space / URL.
URL redirects are of two types:
1. Forwarding URLs : Redirects the domain name to another web address; in the address bar will read; the destination address.
2. Alias : Point the domain name to a hosting plan already purchased on ormag.net; the address bar will continue to read the domain name

Maximum annual number for domains .ch
The .ch domains can be registered from a minimum of one year. Of course, domain is renewable.
Maximum number of .ch domains adjustable
For .ch domains there are no limitations.
.ch domain names NS configuration
It is not necessary to pre-set the NameServer.
In the event that they are not provided at the time of registration, the default nameservers of Ormag will be inserted, the nameserver change can also take place later.
- Minimum number of nameservers 2, maximum number of nameservers 13.
Local presence for domains .ch
Local presence is not required.
Restrictions for domains .ch
For .ch domains there are no particular restrictions, they can be registered by both companies and individuals.
- The domain must be registered / renewed / transferred for at least 60 days;
- The domain must not be blocked by the current Registrar;
- The e-mail address of the administrative contact must be active and reachable;
- Request the current Provider the Authorization Code (EPP key) of the domain to be transferred;
- Transfer times: up to 24-48 hours after payment confirmation and during office hours;
- It is advisable to request the transfer of the domain at least 15 days before the expiration date.
- PROCEDURE : during the transfer order, the Authorization Code (EPP key) must be requested from the Swiss Authority www.switch.ch
IMPORTANT : Make sure that the address of the administrative contact can be reached by you, otherwise contact the Swiss Authority by phone at 0848.844080.

On the day of expiration, the .ch domains are withdrawn by the competent Authority requesting payment of a penalty for recovery (Restore).
